At 4:30 pm on June 23, 2020, the hot test of the 110t LF ladle refining furnace in a steel company in Zhangjiagang, east China was successful, which became an important milestone for TYMEC work in the first half of this year.

The project is based on the production process demand of simultaneous production of ultra-thin strip production line and small billet continuous casting machine in No. 2 furnace area of the electric furnace 1 workshop of the user, therefore, a set of 110t LF is newly installed. TYMEC is responsible for the design, manufacture, packaging, transportation, guidance for installation and commissioning of the complete LF.

In order to achieve the user's production goal, a ladle turret is used to transport the ladle with liquid steel. T/S is carried out in the working station during the LF molten cycle, and the time of offline wire feeding and non-heat treatment can be overlapped, which greatly shortens the duration of liquid steel from LF to CCM, and finally the production cycle of electric furnace---LF---CCM is highly matched, which ultimately improves the production capacity and brings considerable economic and social benefits for the user.
